The project included construction of roughly 5,500 feet of stream bank protection and stabilization of the existing levee, to protect critical infrastructure against the effects of erosion during large flood events. The work involved clearing, grubbing, earthwork, construction of stone protection structure with over 150 thousand tons of rocks, installation of planting benches, instream wood structures, live cuttings; and grass seeding and erosion control. Beside my QCM responsibilities, I utilized P6 scheduling software and the critical path method (CPM) to develop preliminary schedule and initial schedule for this $32M project. I performed equipment inspections prior to delivery to the US Airforce and worked with personnel to make sure they meet contract safety requirements. In addition to my QCM and SSHO duties, I observed-field testing and results with the mix designs, project scope and specifications of the mix designs to determine and recommended to contractors of best material to be used. This included Coordinating & Submitting Lab test reports, material delivery logs, daily reports, site inspection check lists and other construction submittals to the contracting officer for review and approval.
