I had the pleasure of supervising Noora in her role at the New Canadians Centre. Noora was an excellent worker and could always be counted on. She is diligent, compassionate, and professional. She will do well wherever she goes in the world!

Assisted Dr. Umar Ruhi on a Misinformation-Disinformation Research project. The project aimed to synthesize gaps in literature through an interdisciplinary lens, addressing the various types of disinformation as well as conducting a user-experience evaluation of the existing tools used to counter disinformation. Additionally, we developed a survey of the constructs that contribute to the dissemination of disinformation online. My submission included a literature review that covered key success factors for countering disinformation and included policy recommendations for government, civil society, and business that would encourage wide scale adoption of disinformation countering practices; and, foster individual and societal resilience to disinformation.
