Microfinance Analysis Assistant
-
Dec 2020 - Mar 2021
Upon the completion of my fellowship at HOPE, I was offered a part-time temporary position to continue working with the Microfinance team. In this new role, I continued the work I began as an Impact Investing Fellow, as well as take on new projects as my team goes through several transitions. My duties involved Power BI report analysis and development, project management on the technical side of a larger PAR management project, and developing financial projections for 2021 key result metrics. Key projects included the development of Power BI and Excel trackers for organizational key results and the completion of a case-based five-year growth forecast. Show less

Impact Investing Fellow
-
Jun 2020 - Dec 2020
I joined the Microfinance team at HOPE International upon the completion of my undergraduate studies at Baylor in May 2020. Joining the organization at the height of the COVID-19 impact allowed me to get involved with high-level projects early on in my fellowship. My responsibilities initially involved research into the international SME market to learn more about the industry and how to best serve SME clients in our organization. I also got early experience developing underwriting tools for several of our MFIs across multiple countries, including Ukraine and Rwanda. I played a critical role in developing a Risk Assessment Matrix that was used to analyze and disperse emergency funds through HOPE Global Investments to our MFIs. I completed weekly reports informing organization management about PAR and repayments data at some of our MFIs. For the back half of the fellowship, I took on some minor project management roles, one involving the creation of a business case template that was designed to help standardize business pitches across our MFI network, and the other being a technical project creating and updating Power BI reports to help with a delinquency management project. Upon the completion of my fellowship, I was offered a temporary part-time role as the Microfinance Analysis Assistant. Show less

Latent Arts

Creator/Owner
-
May 2019 - May 2020
Latent Arts is my own entrepreneurial venture I started the summer of 2019. I was inspired by the artistic talents of my sister to develop a platform on which local artists of all kinds and skill levels could better connect with their communities. As the creator, I designed an online web service utilizing self-taught Wix Code and JavaScript to provide an online location for artists to display their work and get hired, effectively creating a "one-stop art shop". After some networking and site growth in Waco and Madison, I decided to pivot this concept and transform it into an independent study project. After completion of this independent study, I decided to pursue other interests and have allowed the site to become dormant. However, I have attached the business plan and site link here as proof of concept for the work completed on this venture. Show less

On a daily basis, I have been required to complete meticulous work expediently to help fulfill increasing demand from several large companies such as Ping, KBS, Evnroll, and the Magnolia Company. Some of the primary projects I have worked on include making coasters and conversation card booklets from scratch for Magnolia, and sandblasting golf club putters to be prepped for armoring from various manufacturers, many of which have been used in PGA tournaments.
