  (1) Be responsible and accountable for setting and advancing the academic strategy of the applied economics department in line with the faculty of economics, management, and social sciences. (2) Ensure that all staff in the department of applied economics have access to the necessary support to enable them to contribute fully and develop their skills and experience. (3) Ensure students are included as appropriate in the various decision-making within the department and create a dynamic and forward-looking research environment for both staff and students. (4) Design teaching materials including syllabus forms for economics and econometrics. (5) Teaching different courses related to economics and econometrics in the Faculty.
