My responsibilities at Synergy extend past traditional FP&A finance (budgeting, month-end analyses) to also intertwine with Strategy, Operations (manufacturing environment), and Corporate Development. At the corporate level, I partner with senior management across numerous departments to provide 360-degree "big picture" insights; understanding the needs of multiple internal and external stakeholders to generate tailored solutions to complex business issues. Significant contributions to projects impacting the entire organization include: - Participating in advisory panel to perform a deep dive on our business, and make recommendations for potential strategic outcomes for organization. - Taking ownership of cross-departmental analyses to drive efficiencies and maintain outstanding service delivery. - Perform complex financial modeling on proposed business partnerships, acquisition opportunities and large-scale capital projects. Additionally, I participate in selected negotiations and weigh in on both financial and business issues. On the Operations side, I have provided analytical support in a manufacturing environment, as well as on-site project planning, management and execution under exigent circumstances. Some significant projects I took ownership of while working closely with our Operations department included: - Standard Cost analyses. - Facility renovation and improvements from calculating required CapEx, to budget management, and managing project resources to ensure facility readiness under tight timetables. - Process Improvement Projects. - Customer relationship management in extraordinary circumstances, and dealt with issues involving business continuity. The Company has enjoyed significant recognition and accolades for its achievements, including: Inc. Fast 500/5000 (4 years), Deloitte Technology Fast 500 (2 years) and Channel Program of the Year. The FP&A team's mission is to provide decision makers with routine and ad-hoc information with the goal of becoming the center of all analytical knowledge for the Company. In this regard, I interface with senior management to understand their short-term and medium-term reporting needs, and translate this information into our team's daily operations. For example, I regularly coordinate with other S2S departments to help identify new, relevant KPIs, build management dashboards and refine departmental budgets. Additionally, I independently identify and create new internal tools to empower the FP&A team to be more productive. From a strategic viewpoint, I also work to help define the future development of the FP&A team as we continue to absorb new functions (treasury, operations analysis, corporate dev, etc.). Drawing upon my past experience in investment banking and corporate finance, I also played a critical role in the Company's recently completed $30 million capital raise. During the transaction, I participated in creating the following deliverables: analyzing Company valuation, contributing to the Confidential Memorandum, providing urgent, ad-hoc analyses, coordination of due diligence requests and managing the data room. In this role, I served as a Sr. Data Analyst in the Learning & Development for PwC, one of the Big 4 accounting firms. I worked with our India-based team to award continuing education credits for the firm's clients and CPAs. In this position I also made heavy use of SQL and Oracle Peoplesoft to generate accurate course reporting. I went on to write VBA macros and other tools to streamline our QC and reporting functions. This reduced our overall processing times by over 50%. In this role, I served as a Sr. Data Analyst in the Learning & Development for PwC, one of the Big 4 accounting firms.
