I am proud to serve as Head of Hematology, leading cross-functional medical teams to gain insights and build strategies for communications with medical doctors, translating insights into actionable strategy. This involves creating medical plans for current and future development assets across Lymphoma, Myeloma, and Myeloid diseases. I once again sourced and retained key experts to gain critical clinical insights to help shape the overall business strategy and vision. I also acted as the “face” of Celgene Belux to represent the Belgium division in the broader international organization. In my purview is managing medical strategies and activities for pre-launch and launch of drugs (Reblozyl, Onureg, Inrebic, and CAR-T) developing plans aligned with business and market access strategy. Additionally, I manage a complex budget and am in charge of creating a long-term labor strategy by providing opportunities for professional development. I continue to maximize our operational performance by introducing medical KPIs, monitoring, and analyzing processes to identify gaps in performance and develop solutions to increase internal and external medical impact. The success of this program in Belgium resulted in the application of KPIs across the entire European region. A snapshot of my recent accomplishments and contributions in this role: • Led both a 2 year digital vision plan to meet projected customer needs, including implementing digital tools and leading training to enhance customer interactions and productivity. • I have leveraged my knowledge of new CAR-T technology to determine the impacts within the Belgian landscape, clarifying and establishing a referral strategy, and setting up a panel of Belgian KOLs to drive collaboration between business and scientific worlds. • I spearheaded the creation of a patient support program for Multiple Myeloma patients. • I directed all facets of change management during the recent merger, remarkably with zero losses in personnel. Head of Medical Affairs

Jul 2016 - Jun 2018
I played a vital role in the development of ambitious medical strategies and procedures while providing expert leadership for a respiratory portfolio and rare disease team comprised of three medical managers, four medical science liaisons, a scientific associate, and a scientific advisor. I oversaw medical operations and administrative tasks, managed budgets, created KPIs, developed and launched medical plans for current and future developments for Asthma and COPD, and served on the compliance board. I mentored our medical science liaisons in best practices and lead training on new technologies and methodologies, guiding career trajectories by providing targeted professional development opportunities. With a previous win in supporting market and business growth, I once again worked outside of my direct medical purview to drive sales and marketing success by collaborating with specialists on promotional and marketing campaigns. Senior EU Medical Manager Urology/Oncology
-
Mar 2015 - Jul 2016
I managed multiple prostate cancer drugs, including Eligard and Xtandi across EU countries by coaching their medical teams and overseeing and supporting the development of ambitious medical plans. I also facilitated the sharing and adoption of best practices across those EU countries. I managed the urology portfolio of Betmiga, Vesicare, and Vesomni across Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Ireland, Portugal, and Switzerland. A key aspect of my duties involved serving as the head of compliance to ensure all activities met the requirements of EFPIA and ABPI EU Hub. I worked with local medical teams on multiple operational and medical launch activities, most notably guiding the introduction of Betmiga and Vesomni medications into the Hungarian market. One of the most critical contributions I made was the creation of a panel of international KOLs known as the Astellas Oncology Faculty. This entailed sourcing experts from six countries to assist with and refine drug commercialization processes, including advocacy and marketing feedback to hone strategy planning and launches. I also worked closely with the marketing department to create and launch strategic promotional plans and collateral development to meet the various market requirements of each of the six EU countries and ensure campaign success. Within six months of my tenure, I was granted the final signatory responsibility to ensure that all promotional material/activity was accurate, balanced, and did not compromise patient safety. As the lead medical advisor for Efient (Prasugrel), I worked closely with Lilly achieving an extended recommendation by NICE, additionally providing medical expertise to contribute to NICE’s Efient review. I also oversaw the company’s entire hypertension (Olmesartan) portfolio, guiding the brand team to meet customer needs and actively participating in the development of targeted promotional campaigns. I spearheaded the implementation of a CRM system and capture of Transfer of Value, ensuring that all activities complied with the Code of Practice Clause 21 of the ABPI Code of Practice. It was in this position that I acquired valuable knowledge of how to integrate the UK and European medical teams, as well as the UK commercial team, to facilitate the launch of medications. Show less
