      I joined Neath Port Talbot Council 10 years ago to deliver on a new customer services project which included opening several one stop shops across the County Borough (something very new to the Council at that time). I have also managed the Contact Centre for a brief period. Before the Council I was a retail manager and started my career with M&S as a graduate trainee and then went to work for Boots. Having spent a long time in front line services, I wanted a more strategic role in the Council and since March 2013 I've been working in Corporate Strategy and Performance Management within the Chief Executives section, mainly dealing with Key Plans such as the Corporate Improvement Plan, any work associated with the Local Government Wales Measure and Performance Management (new challenge!). I recently, had the opportunity to facilitate at Academiwales 2014 Summer School for a week.
