In addition, experience in carrying out scientific research that generated a great economic impact, increasing the recovery factor of the reservoirs and certifying new oil and gas reserves. Part of the responsibilities of the project consisted of generating data models, analysis of viability of carry out reservoir integrated study, statistical and dynamic modeling of data, integration of geological, geophysical, sedimentary data, stratigraphic, petrophysical data, studies of the Properties of fluids; feasibility studies, implementation, carry out, diagnosis, evaluation and improvement of secondary recovery projects for water and gas injection, among others. As part of the integrated team of studies of reservoirs, I was responsible for more than 10 projects of characterization of reservoirs, which include geological formations of different ages, such as: Eocene, Paleocene, Cretaceous and Basement, in conventional and non-conventional reservoirs. The main projects that I developed are 1.- Technical Analysis for the Reactivation of Wells in the LL 453 Area of the Tia Juana Field. 2.- Integrated Study of the Eocene Age Reservoirs of the Misoa Formation, Area LL453 of the Tia Juana Lago Field. 3.- Remaining Non-Associated Rich Gas Reserves Recovery Project in Misoa Formation, PNOGO project. 4.- Sedimentological Model and Integration with the Static Model of the La Rosa 09 Reservoir. Area LL-453. 5.- Evaluation of Water Injection in the Reservoirs of Area LL453 of the Tia Juana Lago. Show less

Due to my experience and skill in handling this software, the School of Petroleum Engineering invited me to share my knowledge and experience with the students. During my participation, I trained more than 150 students from the last semesters. At the same time, I enriched their learning contributing with my experience in Reservoir Engineering, learning how to Integrate theory and practice, how to develop technical criteria to evaluate the reservoir data and think about all possible production scenarios, which strengthened the student's professional judgment Show less

(PDVSA) a production area was assigned to the Operational Agreements Unit, to be operated jointly with the University of Zulia through a joint venture called OleoLUZ. By virtue of the success obtained with the previous work, I was called to be part of the team that would carry out the Integrated Study of the Mara East Field in its Phases I and II which consisted of collection, validation, organization and elaboration of the database of the Mara East Field. Development of Reservoir Models and calculation of recoverable reserves of oil and gas. This study covered the study of 3 of the 5 non-conventional reservoirs in Campo Mara Este, these deposits were 1) Carbonatic formations with naturally fractured Cretaceous dolomitic segregations formed by the Cogollo Group (tight HC carbonates), 2) La Luna Formation, which is a stratigraphic sequence characterized by limestone and laminated calcareous shales with a high content of organic matter and gas generation, which acts as bedrock of the reservoir of the Lake Maracaibo basin (source rock gas) and 3) Fractured igneous-metamorphic granite rocks of the basement. As a result, a new distribution of field production areas was established, oil and gas volumes were calculated, well work recommendations were made and new drainage points were defined in order to recover undrained reserves in the field. All this work served as a research framework for future research in the area. OleoOLUZ is the First Mixed Company in Venezuela, PDVSA - Universidad del Zulia. It has a 29 ° API crude and it has 450 wells completed over 9000 ft in the Cretaceous, with an average of 80 active wells in a naturally fractured Reservoir (3rd in the World), with artificial lift methods Gas Lift with the supply of high pressure gas from the Mara compressor through the distribution network at 2500 lbs / ft and collection of 30 lbs / ft. MARACAIBO, VENEZUELA The Mara East Field is located in Maracaibo Lake Basin in the State Zulia –Venezuela. This field has an accumulation of light oil in non-conventional fractured deposits of igneous, metamorphic and volcanosedimentary rocks of the Basamento, calcareous sandstones and fractured limestone of the Cretaceous and Eocene / Paleocene sandstones. This field was classified as the largest in the world that has been found in nonsedimentary rocks with high levels of oil production. The work carried out was aimed at increasing the productivity of the geographical area of the DM01 well of the Mara East Field through the study of existing wells and the proposal of major or minor works to wells. As a conclusion of this work, it was recommended to perform 5 re-entry to wells, 3 new drainage points, 10 acid stimulations, 2 twin drilling and 15 cannons which were executed successfully resulting in a 75% increase in the production of the area. It is important to mention that the Campo Mara Este produces 5 types of unconventional reservoirs: a) Eocene age siliciclastic, consisting of the compact gas sands of the Misoa Formation (tight gas sands), b) Mixed siliciclastic-carbonate sequence of age Paleocene consisting of the Guasare Formation (tight gas sands), c) Carbonatic formations with naturally fractured Cretaceous dolomitic segregations formed by the Cogollo Group (tight HC carbonates), d) La Luna Formation, which is a stratigraphic sequence characterized by limestone and laminated calcareous shales with a high content of organic matter and gas generation, which acts as bedrock of the deposits of the Lake Maracaibo basin (source rock gas) and e) Fractured igneous-metamorphic granite rocks of the basement.
