During my internship at Synaptologics BV I worked at an ongoing research topic: Schizophrenia.Within this very broad branch of research I focussed on the phenotyping of the Nrg3 mouse model by performing several behavioural experiments and interference within the Nrg3-ErbB4 signalling pathway. Both these genes are pointed out as susceptibilty genes for Schizophrenia.

Jul 2015 - Dec 2016
At the AMC I supported a PhD in her research at the department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. During this time I was responsible for all data analysis of both animal and clinical trials about the effect of radiation on microcirculation in the mouth and the effect of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy on late radiation damage. For this I had contact with patients to schedule them for measurements, take into account all GCP-guidelines and gather all documents necessary according to Dutch Law to perform a clinical trial.
