The remaining small enterprise of the two I have built in my spare time whilst being employed in full-time roles. I was recently awarded Vegan Advocate of the Year 2020 for this work, this was determined by UK public vote and I owe it to the incredible online community I have been building for 4 years.• 4,000 strong social media community built using relevant hashtags, engaging influencers, targetted ads and event campaigns @generationveg_ @theglasgowveganmarkets• 2 large festivals and 12 smaller markets per year• Employer of 3 regular staff, 1 of which was recently promoted to my business partner as the workload increased• I promote our events using targetted Facebook Ads, posting in community Facebook groups, organic social media content and writing press releases• Use hashtag searches to source new stallholders, build online relationships by engaging them in conversation over comments or tags in our own content• Donated over 2.5k to humanitarian and animal charities such as Scottish Women’s Aid, Refuweegee, Tribe Animal Sanctuary and We Are Veganuary.• Design digital and printed flyers for festivals and markets on Adobe InDesign/Photoshop and in some cases outsourced to local designers• Offer living-wage internships and one-on-one mentorship in social media/ writing for the web • The Glasgow Vegan Markets were nominated for UK Vegan Market of the Year 2019 and placed 3rd

I work independently on the Business School brand content/ digital community management, and also as part of a wider team making up an internal communications agency for the school known as The Connect Team. To do so, I liaise with film production crews, events managers and our in-house Graphic Designer for various projects as well as students, research staff, global alumni and academics. I manage the communities and create content for 6 social media channels at the school, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube and Weibo, interacting with different audiences on each platform.

The first of two small enterprises built in my spare time whilst I have been in full-time roles • 5,000 strong social media community built using relevant hashtags, engaging influencers, targetted ads and event campaigns• Launched Scotland’s first printed vegan magazine in 2016, including editorial responsibilities, design, print and distribution logistics - production ceased in 2019• CMS WordPress used to build vegan-connections.com (now disassembled) where we published the content of 5 editors and 25+ local journalists• 2 large festivals per year• Promoted events using targetted Facebook Ads, posting in community Facebook groups and writing press releases• Recruited volunteer editors, journalists, event staff and bloggers to contribute to our website, social media and run events with me• Used hashtag searches to source new stallholders, built online relationships by engaging them in conversation over comments or tags in our own content• Utilised our volunteers and nurtured them as ambassadors to create content for our website and social media channels• Offered work experience to recent graduates in editorial, social media or journalist roles Three success stories from these internships include Journalist/Influencer @kohlgirl, Contemporary Art Gallery Curator @curatorbelle and Poet/Writer @jshgrhm• Vegan Connections was nominated for UK Vegan Magazine of the Year 2017 & 2018
