• Remote Internship Coordinator

  Due to Covid-19, numbers of students lost their internship positions. I was approached by the European Studies counselor to connect these students to businesses and organisations to tackle a real-world problem in two months. It was the first Remote Internship programme in it's kind. This way, the students can use their talents to help society, work on corona-related initiatives and they can collect their internship credits. I set up the initiative with Bart Kuijpers and I mentored the student teams. In a matter of a few weeks, we found enthusiastic organisations that wanted to participate in this Remote Internship programme.   Aurum, known for the app EnergyFlip, is a technology company that designs, builds and integrates energy monitoring tools for the residential market. I work on developing new monitoring propositions with partners (= energy retailers, manufacturers of heating systems and other innovative companies). This includes concept design, content marketing and business development. Currently we are working on a cool project where we monitor and balance energy currents in energy neutral homes. By monitoring electricity and gas usage, battery storage, solar panels and the EV charging station we can better distribute loads within the building, reducing the intermittency problem that comes with distributed wind and solar energy gen.   NDK Creative Content is my freelance business in Content Marketing. Main clients: Aurum Europe, EnergyFlip, Hello Energy. I helped these companies grow their organic traffic by implementing SEO and content strategies. I offer marketing strategy consults but also hands-on work in the field of content creation, copywriting, SEO, marketing campaigns and design. I am specialized in Content Marketing, but the truth is that if you work for small companies you often end up doing much broader work than just that. My work for energytech companies includes UX design, project management, customer journey mapping, usability testing of energy monitoring consumer apps and business development. I prefer to do long-term projects and aim to become a part of team so I can contribute optimally. Every year I take two months off from client work to work on my own creative endeavors. I have build several content-driven niche websites in the outdoor/surfing space and the career/remote working space. FANTASTBAAR - Coast Cards - made with beach plastic from Scheveningen

  Together with packaging designer Sander Kuin I started working on solutions for plastic pollution in Scheveningen. We created Coast Cards - post cards with beach plastic (nylon fishing lines washed ashore) that were sold in 14 shops. Once orders started hitting above the thousands, we outsourced production to a local sheltered employment (sociale werkplaats). By engaging with these businesses through Coast Cards, we were able to help them decrease their plastic footprint. BAS was a Rotterdam based startup, founded by Arash Azami and Richard van Ravenstijn that ceased to exist in 2017.
