I have the extreme pleasure of working with innovative young minds, engaged City of Vancouver staff, and brilliant instructors from post-secondaries across the lower mainland to make Vancouver a more sustainable, equitable, and joyful place. My role involves, sourcing ideas from CoV staff and then matching them to faculty looking to introduce a WIL component to their course - allowing students to have a real-world project experience. Once matched, we further scope the project idea into actionable, meaningful deliverables with CoV staff, faculty, and students. Projects can engage, innovate, or implement, but always inspire and never cease to amaze. Select student groups are invited each term to present their innovative project solutions at HUBBUB, our end-of-term project showcase at City Hall, and via their individual profile pages. I oversee the planning and delivery of this semi-annual event and the creation of the accompanying profile pages. Coordinators are responsible for program evaluations, metrics, and partnership reports. They also take a lead role in developing JEDDI best practices, program development, communication strategies, and stakeholder engagement. Show less
