-Performs change-over operation of major equipment and auxiliaries as part of monthly Preventive Maintenance Work Orders (PMWO) or as the need arises. -Checks/prepares all turbine / generator auxiliary equipment for start-up of the unit. -Conducts functional test of steam turbines / generator and its auxiliaries to verify and ensure its functionality. Performs pre-start-up checklist. -Conducts routine inspection and preventive maintenance of turbine / generator and its auxiliaries including station batteries and battery charger to ensure reliable operation of the plant. -Operates lighting panels, disconnect switches, circuit breaker, local control panels, excitation cubicles and relays According to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). -Reports any abnormality detected on plant equipment and auxiliaries for quick implementation of proper remedial measures. -Logs hourly reading of all indicating and integrating meters, gauges and parameters assigned to him for trend analysis. -Assists during start-up and shutdown of the unit in a timely and accurate manner. -Undertakes Hydrogen charging and purging of the generator according to SOP for safe execution and economic use of resources. -Suggests improvements in the prevailing preventive maintenance programs and SOP in the operation of turbine-generator and auxiliaries for an efficient and safe operation. -Observes safety and maintains good housekeeping in the workplace. -AttendsTool Box Meeting every shifting schedule for an update of the condition of the plant, as well updates on new information being cascaded by other teams. -Perform other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by his/her immediate superior.
