Experience

    • Scientist III
      • Oct 2022 - Present

As a Project Lead at Phenovista Biosciences I design, optimize and execute high-content imaging phenotypic assays using multiplex imaging and data analysis tools. I have been involved in designing bespoke assays for various Biotech, Pharmaceutical and start-up companies that efficiently and effectively targets the biological question to be addressed by the client. I have also been involved in developing pre-defined neuronal assays. Experience with relevant cell types (including human iPSC-derived cells) for developing assays to assess neuronal and mitochondrial health Designed and deployed complex machine learning imaging analysis pipelines for in-depth data analysis of high throughput drug screens. Record and generate clear reports to be presented to clients Show less

As a postdoctoral researcher I am interested in understanding the underlying pathological pathways leading to neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD). Despite the prevalence, the underlying cause of AD and PD are still unknown. Chronic inflammation is an underlying theme of aging and neurodegenerative diseases including AD and PD. I am interested in understanding the role of innate immune response-mediated inflammation in AD and PD. Spearheaded multiple aging and neurodegenerative disease-based projects during my research resulting in first and co-author papers. Highly collaborative on a multidisciplinary level with scientists from multiple academic institutions. Experienced in writing grants, fellowships, protocols that culminated in securing postdoctoral fellowship in aging research. Mentoring undergraduate students by discussing scientific papers and academic pursuits through guidance, shared experiences, support and knowledge. Also involved in mentoring undergraduates to pursue careers in STEM. Show less
