I had the pleasure and the honor to work along Nima along our course in Makers Academy. I can only say this. If I am going to be in a team I want to be with him. He is hardworker, diligent and highly talented for coding, in addition to all of that He, is a great person, always in a good mood and always caring for everyone in the group.

Nima and I both attended Makers Academy where we worked together on pair programming tasks and as part of a team for our final project. Throughout the course Nima was always friendly, approachable and happy to go out of his way to help his fellow students. Pair programming with Nima was a joy. Not only because we share a number of interests outside of coding, but also thanks by his ability to quickly grasp programming concepts and apply them to create good quality, readable code. His hard work, diligence and enthusiasm was infectious and definitely helped me accelerate my own learning. During our final project, Nima and I paired on the front-end using React (a technology I had not used before). Having had previous experience with React, Nima was able to guide me though the core concepts in a clear, effective and patient manor. I would not hesitate to recommend Nima to any business. Not only is his work of exceptionally high quality, but as a colleague, is friendly and supportive. I sincerely hope we get the opportunity to work together again in the future.

Ripple Energy is a start-up that enables the everyday person to be part owners of wind farms. I am part of the development team that involves delivering new features during times of quick and rapid growth. Achievements include: ✓ After being certified as a AWS Solutions Architect - associate, I lead Ripple Energy’s first and subsequent serverless microservice solutions using SAM templates to provision infrastructure as code. This included an overhaul of our AWS account infrastructure to map accounts to dev environments and creating sandbox accounts for each developer secured through service control policies. This made security easy for production resources with restricted access through IAM Roles. Using SAM templates, we deployed various cloud resources in a scalable and secure manner, all while saving on costs. ✓ Campaigned for and successfully converted our frontend React JavaScript to React TypeScript. This includes automatic synchronisation of backend schema types to frontend TypeScript types, eliminating manual maintenance of types, dramatically reducing the chance of bugs due to type mismatch. ✓ Responsible for implementing frontend and serverless CI/CD pipelines. This included creating custom docker images to run in the pipelines as well as securely cloning the backend Django server to run in the frontend pipeline so that end to end Cypress tests could be performed in a controlled environment. This increased developer confidence when deploying code as we could make sure mission critical flows were not disrupted or catch bugs before deployment to production. ✓ Introduced unit testing through TDD for Django with Graphene to enable testing of our GraphQL schema. I also implemented these tests in the Bitbucket CI/CD pipeline which has helped catch bugs getting deployed to production. ✓ Spear headed and completed conversion of our REST API to GraphQL. This has increased productivity and dramatically improved the developer experience.

Finished an intensive bootcamp after making a real commitment to becoming a software developer. The 16 week intensive course is currently filling any knowledge gaps I had from my own self learning. Achievements include: ✓ Learned and honed in the value of TDD. Consistent 95% or greater test coverage is maintained throughout any applications we develop. ✓ Successfully collaborating with peers with different backgrounds and programming level, through pair programming, in an agile environment. ✓ Strengthened my already greatest asset of self-learning to enable me to learn any technology required within a short space of time. ✓ Created a cool application in a group of 5 people as part of our final project utilising everything we have learned throughout the bootcamp from agile processes to creating a working environment where everyone was allowed to have their say. Languages, Frameworks and Tools: Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, RSpec, Capybara, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Jasmine, Cypress, Jest and Enzyme, React, Bootstrap, React Context API, SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Sequelize, Travis, Heroku
