- Conducted a systematic literature review for a study estimating the ability of formerly opioid-dependent soldiers to be re-deployed after having undergone medication-assisted treatment, using DistillerSR to accept or reject over 2,000 compiled journal articles according to criteria specified by the principal investigator (PI) and our client.- Abstracted data from journal articles (accepted by a systematic literature review) regarding medication-assisted treatment for opioid dependence, using Microsoft Excel to note the sample size, treatment(s), and relevant outcomes (mean and standard deviation, or percent of participants) of each study for use in data analysis by the research team.- Developed additional survey questions for the RAND Health Behavior Survey regarding adolescent use of digidal devices (including smart phones and social media) to help determine correlations with mental health issues and substance use in future research.- Diagrammed trends (2003-2016) in free time spent on personal fitness versus sedentary activity, using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ America Time Use Survey (ATUS), and with comparisons broken down by gender, day of the week, education, employment, and number of children.- Conducted face-to-face interviews with staff of various non-profit agencies providing nutrition and education health programs for families and local school districts in Los Angeles County.
