  As a UX Designer, my job entails creating user-centered designs for Kandoor that are intuitive, engaging, and easy to use. I'm responsible for understanding user needs, behaviours, pain points, and translating them into actionable design solutions. This is wat my day-to-day tasks include: Conducting user research: This involves gathering data about users’ needs, goals, and behaviours through surveys, interviews, and usability tests. Creating user personas: You will develop fictional representations of users based on their needs, goals, and characteristics. Designing user flows and wireframes: You will create user flows to map out the user’s journey through a digital experience and wireframes to visualise the layout of the interface. Creating prototypes: You will use design tools to create interactive prototypes that allow users to test the functionality and usability of a product. Collaborating with cross-functional teams: You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the design meets user needs and aligns with business goals. Conducting usability tests: You will test the usability of designs with users to identify any issues or areas for improvement. Staying up-to-date with industry trends: You will stay current with the latest trends in UX design and incorporate best practices into your work.   I've been working on the new PostNL business portal. This portal is ment for all PostNL's business clients, big or small. The old existing business portal has all the existing features but is heavily outdated. Therefor the decision was made to create a new business portal and implement the existing features one by one. The features itself need a big redo themselves and that's what I'm tackling with fellow designers. The other halve of my job is to overcome bottlenecks, errors and misunderstandings in the entire business flows. We do this throughout data analyses, complaints and NPS tracking. We apply the Design Thinking method here to understand the problem and tackle it the right way. I do this with a lot of respect towards accessibility. PostNL claims it's the postal company for everyone. Everyone also means customers with any kind of disability, either big or small. This makes my work even more meaningful and hopefully brightens a lot of people workday by giving them an interface and workflow that is easy to understand and work with. Show less
