Studied the electron-phonon interactions in monolayer and bilayer Graphene. Did numerical and analytical calculations for different scattering rates of different scattering mechanisms. Highlighted the importance of the A1' phonon in monolayer graphene which provides the cut-off for the hydrodynamic window in the high-temperature regime. Also helped write the paper (co-author) and point out the discrepancies in the present understanding of the violation of the Wiedemann-Franz Law.Worked on phonon dominated transport in twisted bilayer graphene near magic angle for my senior year thesis (Capstone project). Worked on Renormalization Group methods for Strongly interacting Bose polarons.

    • Undergraduate Research Assistant in Philip Kim's group
      • Feb 2018 - Jul 2018

Followed up my work in Prof. Adam's group with an experimental collaboration with Philip Kim's group at Harvard. My role is to provide the grad student and post-doc on the project a theoretical understanding of the electronic thermal conductance data they obtain from noise measurements on Bilayer Graphene.

One of the two people selected from Yale-NUS College to do a semester abroad at Harvard for Sem 2 in AY 2017/18. Courses:1) Phys 284: Strongly correlated Systems in Atomic and Condensed Matter physics by Eugene Demler - Advanced graduate level course taken mostly by 2nd/3rd year grad students dealing with current research topics like -Spinor Condensates, Optical lattices, Feshbach resonance, Bose/Fermi - Hubbard model, Bose-Polarons, Mott-Insulator-Superfluid-supersolid transition, quantum magnetism, BCS-BEC crossover etc. 2) Phys 129: Energy Science by Lene Hau: An interdisciplinary undergraduate course covering a variety of topics related to renewable energy like the physics of Solar cells, Photosynthesis, fuel cells, batteries etc.3) Phys 175: Laser physics and Modern Optical physics by Markus Greiner: An advanced undergraduate course covering topics of classical optics(first half of sem): Ray Optics, Wave optics, gaussian beams, optical cavities etc. and quantum optics (2nd half): two level systems, spontaneous emission, different types of lasers etc.4) Astron 130: Cosmology by Douglas Finkbeiner: An undergraduate course covering various concepts of cosmology at an introductory level(without the math of General relativity): Friedmann Equations, Single/Multiple component universes, Benchmark Model, Dark Matter, CMB radiation, Big Bang Nucleosynthesis etc. Show less

Led the team to its first international matches in Taiwan and Vietnam. The squad size increased from 12-13 to ~25 under my leadership. Also led the team to it's first ever Inter-Faculty games (major tournament) semi-finals and to its highest position in the Inter-College games(3rd).

    • Research Assistant for Prof Bryan Penprase in Yale-NUS
      • May 2017 - Jun 2017

Studied a recently observed type 1a supernova (SN 2017cbv). We took pictures using the 0.3m telescope at the Las campanas observatory in Chile and also the CTIO telescope at Yale. We modelled data using pre-existing python pipelines to generate various light-curves for the supernovae.
