Nikolaj Halkjær Pedersen completed an internship at the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) consultancy GLOBAL CSR from August 2012 to January 2013. During his internship Mr. Nikolaj Halkjær Pedersen assisted our team of CSR advisors in most functions of our work. During his time at GLOBAL CSR Mr. Nikolaj Halkjær Pedersen engaged with different types of clients (NGOs, Multinational Companies, Public Authorities) on a variety of assignments: product development, preparation and facilitation of workshops, qualitative and quantitative analyses, marketing and sales, research, preparing proposals and reports. More specifically, Mr. Nikolaj Halkjær Pedersen has been very involved in the following assignments: - Development of our flagship 6-weeks CSR-course - Development of a 'human rights explained' course for CSR professionals - Drafting a proposal for a CSR-initiative in Kenya aimed at SMEs to possible donors - Researching and writing a report for the Danish Business Authority (Erhvervsstyrelsen) on challenges and opportunities for motivating more Danish companies to become pioneers on CSR In his work Mr. Nikolaj Halkjær Pedersen displayed strong dedication and a good understanding of the field of CSR. He possesses a rare combination of advanced academic ability as well as strong project management skills. He soon became a trusted and valued team member. He is loyal, with an infectious willingness to learn and aim higher. Besides his strong work moral, Mr. Nikolaj Halkjær Pedersen is very pleasant company, which contributed positively to the overall working environment in the office. GLOBAL CSR benefitted a lot from the efforts of Mr. Nikolaj Halkjær Pedersen and I have no doubt that he will be a great asset for any company or project. Mr. Nikolaj Halkjær Pedersen therefore receives my best recommendations.

I had the opportunity to work with Nikolaj during his internship in Grundfos. During this time he showed commitment to deliver good results as well as excellent time management skills. He is well versed on Human Rights as well as Corporate Social Responsibility and he was a great help on propelling the start-up of the Human Rights Due Diligence Program in Grundfos as well as developing the documentation needed for that process. In addition, he assisted on making a gap analysis of the company regarding reporting requirements in the area and drafting some of the communications sent to key internal stakeholders, among others. I am sure he will be a great aid in helping any organization progress with their work on Human Rights and Corporate Social Responsibility.
