Santeri Heiskanen
I worked as a junior software developer during my time at Mediapolku with Niklas as my manager. Originally starting out as software development trainee, Niklas worked as a mentor for me when developing my programming skills. Teaching me the intricacies of programming particularly in regards to how different project structures should be implemented- and designed. Niklas has very good skills particularly in regards to his pedagogical skills when teaching programming to others and explaining to his juniors how different languages- and frameworks work along with how different problems should be solved. Niklas´ three greatest strengths are his ability to teach, problem-solve and inspire his juniors to use their own thinking when working in a project. Giving them freedom- and space to use their own creativity. I would recommend Niklas to anyone in need of someone to manage them in a programming project.

I am taking part in the Leadership Program, which provides an opportunity for 16 handpicked students to participate in a series of customer experience and leadership development training sessions. The main goals of the program are to prepare the program participants to work as Team Leaders for groups of students at the event and to equip them with skills, training, coaching and practical experience to prepare them for their future careers. My tasks as a Team Leader will include (but are not limited to): promoting the working opportunity and engaging student candidates, interviewing and recruiting the right students to work at the event, and building and supporting a group of students while they work as Customer Service representatives at Nordic Business Forum 2019 in Helsinki.
