I had the absolute pleasure to be part of Nikki Rolfe's HR team during my time with Rexam. Nikki is one of the most authentic, intuitive and commercial Group HR Directors I have ever worked with. Nikki led the HR function while Rexam was being acquired by Ball Corporation and I can honestly say that as a Rexam employee I felt incredibly supported and cared for. Nikki has a tremendous and natural ability to engage and inspire others. I very much hope I have the opportunity to work with Nikki again in the future.

During the takeover of Rexam, Nikki has led the people organisation as a whole, the HR department and the Corporate Headquarters through an incredibly tough period, where the change levels have been significant for a proportion of the company and a prolonged period. Nikki has maintained an incredibly positive attitude throughout this period, has worked hard from the very early stages to ensure the very best possible outcome for all employees and has been as open and honest as she has been able to be within the realms of confidentiality/legal constraints. Nikki has portrayed a level of integrity and dignity that is a credit to her personal style. Apart from the takeover, Nikki championed the Horizon Development Programme that I was lucky enough to be part of and throughout she demonstrated her level of dedication to the development of future leaders in the organisation. She is highly approachable and has always been available for informal and formal mentoring discussions. Nikki was also a very supportive and understanding senior stakeholder/sponsor in projects that I ran within the HR function, understandably driving for delivery within time and budget and balancing that with the challenges faced.
