Pharmacy & Management
-
2004 - 2014
Job Roles: - Area Pharmacy Dispenser (2009 - 2014) - Pharmacy Dispenser (2008 - 2009) - Trainee Dispenser & Evening Team Manager (2006 - 2008) - Healthcare Advisor (2004 - 2006) While with Boots it was necessary to conduct a professional manner at all times, tailor conversations to individual patient's understanding and empathizing with people of all backgrounds. It was vital that I was able to strictly follow SOPs (standard operating procedures) in order to carry out technical aspects of dispensing to ensure the safe supply of prescription medicines and CDs (controlled drugs). I would also operate the prescription collection and delivery service as well as train other team members in various pharmacy software applications. I'd work in partnership with a network of healthcare professionals including social workers, nurses, pharmacists and doctors to maintain high levels of care. During my time with Boots I went on to gain certification in healthcare advising, pharmacy dispensing and participated in on-going CPD (continued professional development) training. My later roles meant I would work as part of diverse pharmacy teams across 30+ pharmacies while facilitating open communication, the learning of new processes and employing a flexible approach to tasks to enable efficient problem-solving.
