Latin Academy is a three week long intensive summer program for the 45 best Latin students in Virginia. It is a residential program focused on the study of the Classics. We take the students on field trips to see a Shakespeare play and to an art museum, lead them in craft activities based on Roman archaeological findings, and discuss the influence of the Classics in films. As Director, I am in charge of hiring and managing staff, planning our curriculum and schedule, and creating a positive and structured living and learning environment for students. I directed the program during the first two years of COVID, during which the program was conducted online.

I have taught classes on Roman Art, Ovid in Renaissance Art, the tragedy of Seneca the Younger, and historical sources about Agrippina the Younger. Every summer, I co-direct a Plautus play in its original Latin.
