Designing of various interior and exterior trim parts, press parts, and castings of an automobile Design and development of interior trim parts like the center console, pillar finishers and door trims. Design of Front end air intake parts. Design of Wheel arch liner and air ducts. Design of body-in-white parts for the fixed body. Prepared master sections with Clearance, Gaps & Flushness & prepared Mounting Scheme. Worked closely with the CAE team to establish crash compliance. Styling & Packaging Feasibility Studies were carried out based on factors like regulations, load cases, Ergonomics, Production feasibility, etc. Created parts in advanced surfacing using Catia. Worked closely with the supplier to improve injection molding feasibility. Carried out tolerance stack-up studies and created PMI drawings. Prepared RFQ and supported sourcing and release process. Design of Front end air intake parts. Packaging Feasibility Studies were carried out based on load case. Prepared master sections and B class Surfaces as per tooling & manufacturing requirements. Came up with a mounting scheme and agreed with the body team. Completed design respecting design parameters such as Draft angle, optimum radius, rib design, fixings spacing, design for final assembly and service, etc. Achieved level 2 targets like stiffness specification etc. Material selection according to requirements. BOM generation and managed part releases. Prepared GD&T PMIs. Styling feasibility studies were carried out after studying packaging and vision requirements. Coordinated stamping feasibility studies.
