      Under the Counter Trafficking and Labour Migration (CT-LM) Unit, I was in charge in the implementation of the Trafficking Pilot Prevention Project in Sukabumi District. The project supported the Sukabumi District’s Anti-Trafficking Taskforce (ATTF) – a joint taskforce involving Social Welfare Department, Labor Department, Women and Children Empowerment, Police Force, as well as local NGO and community organizations to prevent and combat human trafficking at the district level. Main duties and key achievements under the project: - Facilitated the quarterly Task Force meeting to prepare and review the implementation of the Action Plan. - Received a mandate from the District taskforce to promote village regulations in 14 migrant workers sending villages in Sukabumi District. This includes village fund planning and setting up village migratory desks in which prospective migrant workers could access proper information and free documentation. - Assisted with day-to-day activities, including victims of trafficking support within IOM Counter Trafficking Unit in Jakarta.       Under the Telephone Tree Project - a project aimed to improve access to information and justice among Indonesian women migrant workers within Indonesian – Middle East Migration Corridor, my tasks include: - Conducted interviews with Indonesian women migrants leaving for Middle East countries at the Jakarta Airport during the enactment of the migrant workers moratorium in 2015. The research revealed that 2644 women migrant workers could still migrate, mostly through irregular channel despite the ministerial ban, showing how the policy was ineffective. - In charge to manage the Migrant Care Helpdesk at Jakarta Airport. The tasks include providing information on Safe Migration, distributing leaflets, handling case reports from the departing and returning migrant workers. - Reached out to the migrant workers departing to Middle East at Jakarta Airport and collected their contacts. More than 1000 contacts were collected and given regular information and updates on Safe Migration through WhatsApp and SMS platform when they are abroad. Show less
