I am responsible for managing the EIT Climate-KIC Malta Hub based at MCAST. The Hub is running several entrepreneurship and education programmes aimed at addressing climate change. I manage and oversee the implementation of Young Innovators: empowering youth through climate education and green skills acquisition, and MED ClimAccelerator: enabling start-ups through tailored training, mentoring and funding. My role requires establishing and strengthening of existing stakeholder relationships -- including high-level stakeholders, e.g. Ministries -- and coordinating and implementing Hub activities/events to engage citizens and establish the Hub as a focal point for innovation in climate change awareness, plus mitigation and adaption measures. In addition, I am responsible for overseeing budgets, conducting programme and event evaluations and supervising interns and volunteers. My primary responsibilities included project management for two multi-year projects. I also conducted research under the H2020 EU-funded NUCLEUS project (RRI), which included report writing, establishing internal and external stakeholder collaborations and assisting in coordination of the third annual conference. I managed the Erasmus+ SciCulture project on cross-disciplinary application of pedagogy in art, science and entrepreneurship. I co-wrote the H2020 grant proposal that was successfully awarded in 2020 (VARCITIES) and worked with colleagues on KPI substantiation and developing a local stakeholder engagement plan. Other responsibilities included qualitative data analysis, coordinating transdisciplinary courses, coordinating and managing deadlines among European partners, monitoring progress of intellectual outputs and deliverables and risk assessments for events and activities. In addition, I produced media and outreach content on projects (press releases, news articles/journalism, magazine articles, radio interviews, co-hosting THINK magazine podcast and social media posts) and supported/advised the Pro-Rectorate on gender equality policy, including in my capacity as a member of the Gender Equality and Sexual Diversity Committee. My main responsibilities fell under the management of two citizen science projects on Maltese orchids and bats. Work included the coordination of meetings, volunteer recruitment, leading training sessions, stakeholder engagement and planning/coordinating public engagement activities (sessions reached 30+ attendees). I also conducted a sociological and exploratory pilot study on vulnerable youth, assessing how to approach and work with youth in long-term research and identifying appropriate research questions in the context of STEAM engagement. I led the organisation's participation in the Science in the City Festival (Malta) for 2017 and 2018 bringing in 30,000+ people: co-led shadow puppetry show about honeybees and performed as a puppeteer (2017), and produced, directed, choreographed and wrote the script for show on orchids (Orkidea 2018). In addition, I managed the organisation's self-publication of a book on Maltese orchids, including the coordination of a book launch event that brought in 60+ attendees and 29 books sold. Show less

I was responsible for organising large datasets. I collated, organised and cleaned human settlement and water point data from NGOs within northern Kenya using Excel, Google Earth and ArcGIS. I also developed two open source meta-databases and identified gaps over decades of data, as well as coordinated and facilitated meetings inside NRT and with partner organisations on meta-database utilisation and field data sheets for future data collection. I was responsible for daily data collection, data entry and data organisation. I organised and updated multiple project databases. In the field I participated in trapping, immobilising and placing radio-collars on white-tailed deer, black bears and coyotes.
