      As a Fimware Engineer, I am responsible for daily activities in  Embedded Software Design  Vest Power Manger(developed for the US Aviation soldiers) using a MSP430 16-bit RISC microcontroller  Custom built 5S-BMS(Battery Management System) plus charger using a PIC24 16-bit high performance RISC microcontroller  Designed and implemented Bootloader (residing in the same memory block as of the application) for external firmware upgrade of the pack over I2C.  Smart Battery Charger with LCD display using a PIC18 series 8-bit microcontroller  Interfaced with a color LCD display to display the various battery parameters like temperature, time to full, battery status and plot real time graphs of the charge profile (CC and CV).  General purpose 11S2Pconfiguration 40Ah battery pack with integrated BMS plus charger using a DSPIC33E series 16-bit high performance RISC microcontroller  Designed and implemented a Bootloader (residing in a separate memory block as of the application) for external firmware upgrade of the pack over CAN.  BMS with LED display for a battery powered surgical tool using an extreme low powered PIC18 series 8-bit microcontroller  Designed the firmware to operate the BMS in sleep mode with external wake up on application of a charger or key press of the LED display.  Developed test application software in Labview for an 48S4P configuration battery pack with display of the various pack parameters along with the ability of data logging and sending hex files over CAN for firmware upgrade of the pack.  Prepare necessary documentation like FDD (Firmware Design Description), Firmware Version Description (FVD), Firmware Test Description (FTD) and flowcharts for microcontroller firmware.  Support firmware updates and modifications on legacy products.  Prototype microcontroller auxiliary circuitry to verify and prove design concepts.  Conduct test activities in engineering lab, collect and analyze test data to generate test reports.
