The Eligibility Appeals Operations Support (EAOS) is involved with Affordable Care Act (ACA) initiatives regarding the appeal processes in the Health Insurance Marketplace. CMS established the Office of Marketplace Eligibility Appeals (OMEA) to handle complaints and appeals for eligibility issues related to an individual’s ACA application. If an applicant does not agree with the eligibility determination, they may file an appeal. EAOS was established to develop and operate the Federal Marketplace eligibility appeals process, specifically to facilitate data collection, initial determination, review appeal requests, provide general case management for the exchanges, provide recommendations to federal employees, and provide hearing support required for these appeals. Responsibilities: • Involved in upgrading application from Pega 6.3 to Pega 7.2. • Converted Pega Application to Section 508 Compliance. • Involved in sprint planning preparing time estimates for user stories consumed during a sprint. • Implementation of Decision tables, Decision Maps and Declarative expressions for validations. • Validations are implemented using JavaScript • Created PDF’s documents with user information in various places across the process flow. • Customized Bulk Processing Functionality from OOTB. • Created reports using List View, Summary View and Report Definitions to provide real time reporting capability to Managers, supervisors and users. • Implemented User Roles based on Managers, Supervisor and users.
