  I am a volunteer with Project Stepone, a startup that has a mission of using technology and people to fight against Covid in India. As a telemedicine consultant, I have interacted with thousands of patients, providing much needed care during the Covid pandemic. The job requires a healthy dose of empathy and kindness in addition to knowledge of Medicine. I also utilised my multilingualism in reaching out to patients across India. I am exposed to the latest clinical protocols for treating covid during the regular training webinar sessions conducted by Project Stepone.

  A&K Global Health, an Agile Health Systems Company, is a medical facilitation company with a difference. I am part of the medical team which is responsible for providing medical oversight. We also work on creation of simple and effective medical related material for training of team members and providing medical inputs to IT development projects.   I joined CSI Hospital in 2003 and initially started working in the Cardiac Care Unit where my duties included interpretation of ECG and lab studies, diagnosing and managing cardiac emergencies like myocardial infarction, angina, pulmonary embolism, arrythmias, etc. while coordinating care with senior specialists. Later, I joined the Pediatrics Unit. Throughout the 3 years, I also worked as casualty medical officer during my night shifts where my duties included managing emergencies like acute coronary syndrome, hypertensive crisis, diabetic shock, acute renal failure, cerebrovascular accident etc. Duties included managing patients in intensive care units, surgical post op units, and dialysis units, thus obtaining experience in various departments of the hospital. Responsibilities also included active follow-up and updation of patient record sheets and regular participation in regular CME programs conducted in-house or other hospitals.
