Nigel is a fantastic leader and mentor. He has a wealth of knowledge and expertise and a genuine passion for his people. He has a fantastic work ethic and is someone I respect and have always looked up to. I worked with him for 10 years, during that time he facilitated developing and stretching his team to achieve their potential. We were given every possible opportunity and pushed out of our comfort zone. He saw before I did what I could be capable of and helped me to become more than I could have imagined. He is an important career mentor who has taught me so much he is also a valued friend. His contribution to STEP has also been significant from developing a framework and library of qualifications to make the offering for members more personalised. He created the Employer Partnership Programme, the Academic Communities and the CPD centre to name a few but there are plenty more initiative that Nigel brought to life with his innovation and passion. I was very proud to be on his team and a part of his vision and accomplishments.
