The project was for a master trust pension administration system that had originally been outsource and written in Croatia. This was a MVC based web application using WCF services with T-SQL and stored procedures for data access. SSIS packages exchanged and processed data with Mobius Life. Hosting was migrated from a data centre with physical servers to AWS. Utilising several AWS products and services including RDS, EC2 & S3 to build and configure a resilient, and secure environment which passed an external pen test.

At Vantage I was responsible for all development and infrastructure for the business. Delivering a multi-tenant SaaS Service Management solution, Vantage Online, to replace the legacy Service Accent Windows desktop software. Including designing and implementing the virtual private cloud used to host Vantage Online, ensuring the solution is resilient, scalable and secure. Recruited, led and mentored the software development team. Managing the development priorities and road map. Outlining both short and long term technical, development, and organisational goals and objectives. Delivered and published an Android application to Google Play Store. Built to replace an ageing Windows Mobile 6 application. Project Managed the outsourced development team and development eventually moving in-house. Hands on development with all software projects including updates to the Android application, using several different development environments, languages, frameworks and tools.

This was my first role after graduating University, starting as a Developer and progressing to Senior Developer. This role involved variety of different projects such as: AA Roadwatch for Teletext. An application to automate the manual process of processing AA traffic data to generate and publish Teletext pages to air. Website development including an eCommerce site using a number of payment providers such as Barclays ePDQ, and SecureTrading. Windows development with Microsoft Certification - I was responsible for the complete life cycle from requirements analysis through to development and testing, and MS Certification for XP and Vista. Database Administration - designed and implemented the distributed database used for the tourism software. Managed the migration of the central database from MS Access to SQL Server. Infrastructure management - Working alongside the Systems Director I was responsible for managing and maintaining the data centre used for the hosting the tourism software.
