      • As part of my degree I had to complete a 6-month placement. I worked as a software developer in a microservices environment creating tools for the network engineers. The goal of the team was to automate as much of a network engineers’ role as possible. I created a tool that interacted with one of the amazon network cards to restart the device. This would allow network engineers to resolve problems with the network faster and restart multiple cards at once which was not possible before. I worked on multiple projects including API testing, customer requirements gathering and design, parsing xml responses from network devices to a readable format for customers.

    • Anti-fraud and financial flow Analyst.
      • Oct 2015 - Jun 2017

I monitored the live activity of the micro-transaction website, investigated suspicious behaviour and suspended fraudulent accounts. I worked on my own without supervision to prevent fraudulent users from stealing from the company. I used Jira and Confluence to communicate with my team and to share my weekly statistics of the fraud. I was trained in AML and had to frequently update our procedures to deal with new types of fraud that the company was faced with.
