  My work is to manage the content along with authors, editors, and illustrators, to create and develop publishable content for books, journals, electronic media, and web portals. The content is developed keeping in view the requirement of the end user. This process involves in-house manuscript generation and development, advising authors, evaluating manuscripts and artwork, developing/editing/reformatting content, fielding questions, and monitoring schedules and budgets. The content generated should meet editorial goals and technical production. The work area also includes managing freelance copyeditors and illustrators, including but not limited to testing abilities, responding to queries, and providing direction for specific projects. Manage freelance budgets and negotiate fees. Develop and update style manuals and author instructions for specific projects. Assist in development, design, and implementation of authoring tools. Working with authors and other content creators/developers to ensure that specifications regarding format and style are followed for appropriate series titles.
