  CT2016-Network Design for Water SystemsFluid mechanics forms the basis of wet infrastructure design. In this studio, we will make the students explore concepts of fluid mechanics through demonstration projects. The first part of the studio would introduce the concepts of fluid. The students would test these principles in the lab and build instruments applying these principles in the later exercises. Students would be building fluid-based systems and testing the equations for frictional energy losses in piped and channel-based networks. Students would also measure pressure and flow by building their own systems for measuring velocity, pressure, and flow. As a final studio exercise, students would be building a network that would be 10 m in one of the dimensions. Show less
