Working with an Event Management Company was a new experience for me and a fascinating one at that. I was involved in designing collaterals for events such as conferences, corporate events, pre-wedding parties, celebrity events, spiritual events, exhibitions & stalls. While at Mindz Productionz, I was responsible for conceptualizing and designing large-scale banners, standees, and stage backdrops. I also designed booths and floor layouts for exhibitions and trade shows. Working with an Event Management Company was a new experience for me and a fascinating one at that. As my first job, it was one where I learned the most. I started as a junior designer but was promoted to a senior position within the year. I had led the entire print division by the time I left the company. I mainly worked on print projects like brochures, flyers, posters, newsletters, press ads, book covers, book layouts, packaging design, and branding. I also fulfilled client servicing and team lead duties. This involved understanding client needs and briefing the design team, taking feedback from clients and ensuring the same was implemented, managing workflow and maintaining deadlines, giving constructive feedback and mentoring designers. I managed end-to-end print production; this included getting a quote from vendors, adding company markups and other fees and sharing the same with the client. Upon design and cost approval, I ensured the designs were taken through the final artwork before sending them to the printing vendor. At last, I ensured they were delivered to the client with the expected quality and within the given deadline.
