Dr David C. Gaze

Nida completed her undergraduate BSc project within my laboratory during her tenure at St George's, University of London. Nida was a competent and engaging student to work with and undertook her research project with great interest often reading around her subject. The enthusiasm she has is reflected in her project and overall degree award.

Ersen Hasici

Using my initiative and personal connections, I volunteered at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology for a few months to assist in the aftermath of the epidemic of Dengue Fever in the South Asian subcontinent. There, I worked as part of a team of dedicated doctors and nurses and as I am a fast learner I eagerly received preliminary training in operating most of the machines in the Haematology lab including those responsible for full blood count and the Beckman Coulter immunoassays. This involved helping dyslexic students, between the ages of 11 to 15 years old, with their class work and homework. My responsibilities included: the safety and welfare of the students, communicating and explaining scientific concepts in a way that they could understand and organizing activities to further develop their knowledge of the subject.
