As the shop was located in a new shopping centre that was recently opened in the heart of Oxford, the shop was constantly busy and we had customers from all ages, which helped me to quickly improve my English and sales skills. My job consisted in welcoming the guests with a friendly approach, selling shoes while also handling tills and organising stocks, taking payments and keeping the shop tidy. I gained confidence and resilience since the job required an extended knowledge about the product we were selling, considering that many people would buy it from doctors’ recommendations. La Zurriola Disco was a restaurant and nightclub located in the city centre of San Sebastian. During the week, I used to work as a waitress on large events such as company's dinners or birthdays, depending on the restaurant's needs. During the weekend, I worked every Friday and Saturday as a promoter from 11pm to 1am, going around the city centre and convincing people to enter the club; From 1am to 8am, I worked behind the bar serving drinks and managing the till. I also helped to decide the designs of the posters, promoted the club on social media and managed the club's website together with the rest of the promoters team.
