Teacher of KS3-KS5. I have started teaching IB Diploma in Theatre. As I am new to teaching the IB Theatre course, I have developed my knowledge by attending training in Singapore. As the department is new in terms of staff, I currently have the role of developing new and engaging schemes of work for KS3, year 10 and KS5. I have recently directed the whole school production of ‘Dr Korzaks Example’. This year, so far I am very proud of the quality of work that my current year 13 IB students have produced in terms of really stretching their knowledge and abilities as performers Show less

Teacher of KS3-KS5 with a particular focus on KS3 development; re-writing and updating schemes of work to incorporate schools learning policies and assessment. Through my extensive teaching experience, I was the role of V-Certificate Coordinator, where I set up, developed and taught a brand new course called V-Certificate in drama and theatre. To implement my MA learning I built community partnership with the local primary school. My KS4 classes developed and taught workshops for example a series of Trestle Mask workshops to the year 5 students; this was a great success and continued over my time at Woolwich Polytechnic. I was selected alongside five other teachers to be part of the TEEP team where we participated in level two and three training. Our incentive was to develop new teaching and learning tools for other teachers to implement within their lessons. I also observed other teachers lessons in the role of mentor and provided feedback for their development. As part of the TEEP team, my own teaching practice was highlighted throughout the school and regularly teachers would be invited in to observe my lessons to demonstrate good practice. I also undertook the role of KS4 form tutor where I looked after the pastoral needs of my students. I also directing the staff pantomime ever year, which was enjoyable. In my last year, I re-wrote Aladdin, which was a success. Show less
