    • Counsellor / Youth & Programs Coordinator
      • Oct 2013 - Oct 2017

I worked as the Program Coordinator for a Get Set for Work Program. The aim of this program was to deliver intensive employment and training assistance to young, disengaged Queenslanders aged 15-19 years. Participants gain the skills and confidence to enter the workforce, go on to further training or go back and complete school. I was also a Counsellor and previously worked as a Youth and Program Coordinator, working with disadvantaged young people who are at-risk. The regions I worked in are Beenleigh, Eagleby, and surrounding Logan suburbs. I worked with young people who are facing issues such as depression, homelessness, self-harm, and complex needs and behaviours. I case managed individuals and ran group programs to help rebuild the young person’s self-belief, confidence, conflict resolution, and life skills. Show less
