During my internship I completed the following projects aimed at facilitating a better understanding of the core concepts of data science: Insights into Eskom and the South African energy landscape. I successfully led a team of 4 during this project which involved analyzing issues that affect Eskom energy supply as well as creating a SQL relational database and PowerBi dashboard to store and visualize information related to Eskom power stations. Tools used: Python, SQL, PowerBi, Github and agile project management Sendy logistics challenge. I worked in a team of 4 and used supervised learning techniques to predict the amount of time a delivery will take for a Nairobi based logistics company. The model we created was aimed at helping the company improve their customer communication and the reliability of their service. Tools used: Python, AWS, Github, Flask Twitter climate change belief analysis. The aim of the project was to create a classification model able to determine whether or not someone believes in climate change based on their novel tweet data. This model was then used to create a business marketing app called ‘Find your niche’ which allows the end user to use our marketing toolkit to increase the advertising efficiency of their eco-conscious product or service.
