  • Trained a machine learning CNN model to identify visual attributes of objects, e.g. shape, color, and texture. • Combined these visual attributes with a language grounding system to disambiguate unknown objects in a conversational human-robot interface. In other words, the robot can be told the object is e.g. blue or plastic to help it narrow down among the unknown objects in the scene.
