As a Project Specialist , it's my responsibility to ensure that our projects run smoothly from concept to finish. As a showroom assistant, I was responsible for receiving product, filing textiles, incorporating new product on the floor, and placing orders for fabric memos. Assisting clients with fabric choices and retrieving client selections is a skill I have learned, and was integral to the showroom experience. I also interacted with vendors by participating in product showings. Overall, I learned how and where to apply textiles according to a client’s needs, and how to communicate effectively with vendors.

Studio Assistant/Intern

As a studio assistant, it was my responsibility to catalog existing fabric memos and organize them by color and texture. I also organized paint colors, and integrated new fabrics with existing ones. Personal projects include choosing fabrics that complement design schemes for various clients and choosing auxiliary furnishings, such as shelving. Participation in several fabric showings and visiting various showrooms on a regular basis was also integral to the internship experience.
