On a daily basis we review our assigned clinic’s initial evaluation accounts. We make sure all paperwork the patient fills out has been input correctly into the patient’s virtual file, by the front desk associates. Our role is important as we review insurance verifications, authorizations for proper billing and to confirm claims will not be denied.We are also the central scheduling office and schedule the new patients to the appropriate clinic based on diagnosis and demographics.Clinics use us as a source of information to utilize whenever needed and last line of quality assurance to maintain proper billing.Familiarity of CPT codes to ensure proper payment of claims via the authorizations requested for all types of insurance (Commercial, Medicare Replacement plans, Medicare and Workers Compensation).This is also a responsibility of front desks which is what I was promoted from to this current position.
