  Established in 1938, the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard administers the oldest and best-known journalism fellowship program in the world. More than 1,400 journalists of accomplishment from nearly 100 countries have received Nieman Fellowships and benefited from a year of study and exploration at Harvard University to strengthen their knowledge and leadership skills. In addition, individuals with a specific project to enhance journalism may spend up to 12 weeks at Harvard as a visiting fellow in our Knight Visiting Nieman Fellowship program, now in its fourth year.
