After leading Product for a number of companies during my time at Thalamus, I decided to join Kaido as Head of Product full-time. Kaido is a team-building and workplace wellbeing business, boasting customers including Google, KPMG, HSBC, and the NHS. Having lead the product-development on our hugely successful Challenge product, I am currently developing our wider SaaS platform which will provide lower-cost Team Building services to companies who want to boost the morale and motivation of their teams. We have recently closed a small Series A round to help accelerate our growth. Show less

Exercism is an education and mentoring platform for software developers. By applying learning theory and research around psychological safety, I reconceived how Exercism worked, bringing structure and usability to the platform and increasing our key metric of 'number of students mentored' from 3.5% to 64%. The extra clarity around the product also increased our conversion rate from 17% to 48%. I am now an advisor to Exercism, acting as a sounding board for product decisions, and helping ensure that the product remains educationally-sound. Show less

Thalamus is a product and software company, providing CPO and CTO services to early stage businesses. I led the product-development for a number of businesses during this period, including Wondr Medical (who subsequently raised a $1.5m Series A), Flaunt (later acquired), Open Health Group, Exercism (who I continue to advise), and Kaido (where I now work). Meducation was a medical education startup. I originally joined as Community Manager where I spent time speaking to our users and understanding their needs and desires for the platform. My role quickly evolved into leading the product side of the business, applying all the knowledge I was obtaining from users and designing the product to ensure it fulfilled our members' requirements. The changes I made lead to a dramatic increase in retention, including a 600% increase in visitors returning over multiple months. Show less
