During his tenure as Visas Agent for international mobility at the Main office of Petromar Lda in Luanda, Miguel was in charge of the preparation of all the papers for Work Visa, Short Term Visa and Offshore letters; electronic and physical database management and the follow up of visas’ status of each and every expatriates on the projects he was in charge of like Mafumeira EPCI #1 and 3, Block 3, BP MSS, Kizomba Phase II and Great Plutonio. Some of these projects were part of the portfolio of Chevron, BP Angola, TCPI and Angola LNG. The process management of his tenure made him able to communicate and interact with HR Managers, Career and Development Managers, project managers, the Managing Directors and his supervisors. This, because each and every position for the expatriates had/has a specific way to deal with or analyse. Business meeting with the Visas coordinators of other companies on the sector was also part of Miguel’ s job description considering his good verbal and written communication in English, French and Portuguese.
