Mijn schuld. Excuses!

During my internship at Projectus I had a fulltime job as an external salesman. My target market was the Flemish part of Belgium. I had two responsibilities: sales and IT. Sales:- Mainly prospecting new business. Including major brands, but also smaller firms. - Selling indoor and outdoor blinds- Follow-up e-mails/phone calls to prospective customersIT:- Manage the website (adding new projects, rewriting content, creating autoresponders..)- Translate documents and create leafletsMy internship supervisor was very satisfied with my work and considered offering me a job. Due to the age of the business, this isn't possible yet.

During my internship at De Mailingman I gained insights at how external sales work. Most of the internship was visiting prospects and informing them about what De Mailingman has to offer. I also created a promotional offer for the French part of Belgium. The task included market research, brainstorming, adapting current offers and translating them into French. My assessment showed "perfect" on all matters. They were really satisfied about the work I had done and the interest I show in business development/sales/marketing.

MyBBWebhost was my second hosting company (after running WiredStorm web hosting), a side-project while running a network of 15 other websites. This web hosting company was a joint-venture between Leon Zaruvinsky and me. We had 70+ active clients when we sold MyBBWebhost to a bigger firm.During these 4 years, I was head of sales and marketing. Mainly advertising on webmaster forums, but also creating ebooks on "how to build your first website". Another part was solving problems our clients were facing through our helpdesk. The reason for selling this company was clear. Both Leon and I, had gone into different directions and had other websites that required our attention and investments. http://www.mybbwebhost.com

At Colruyt I learned a different approach on sales. Instead of really selling, I learned to advise people on their customer journey. I worked at Dreamland, a subsidiary of Colruyt Group. My objective was to make sure the customer journey of clients visiting the Dreamland store were satisfied when they left. Overall the tasks were simple: - the shop needed to be clean- be available for clients who need help- give customers the right informationBut they were rather important. Being in many different shops I see these basic tasks are often forgotten.
