Los Angeles World Airports Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP project). The LAMP program entails construction of a new 2.25 mile aerial guideway featuring a light rail system (APM), a mega consolidated car rental facility (CONRAC) with direct access to the automatic people mover, five new stations and many roadway and utility improvements within the surrounding neighborhoods. This long overdue program will modernize LAX by providing direct light rail access to the new terminal stations. In addition many civil improvements will be made to the surrounding neighborhoods. Project engineer/ Office Engineer on the underground stations team for the Metro Regional Connector Project in Downtown Los Angeles. This high profile, $1.3 billion dollar project entailed extensive utility revocations in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, a 1.9-mile underground tunnel alignment utilizing an EPB boring machine, three major underground stations, a structural underpinning of the LA Times Building and over 4 blocks of deep cut-and-cover and associated street decking along Flower Street. The project runs through the heart of Downtown Los Angles. At the start of construction it was the most high profile and costly project in downtown LA. Major stakeholders include Walt Disney, The Japanese Village Plaza, Little Tokyo Business complex, The Bonaventure Hotel and the LA Times. Substantial completion on schedule for 2019. Show less
