Head of Intranet Development & Management | Online User Experience

Working closely with an external Web Developer I have designed, developed and implemented an online intranet portal to centralise the administration of 6 international campuses across two continents and each of their departments, from Admissions to Academics, Internship to Alumni. I identified the needs of Senior Management, Academic Governance and departmental staff to better understand how they needed to use the intranet to schedule, manage and maintain the myriad of administrative and marketing data relating to their campuses, students, lecturers and human resources. These needs were then translated and implemented into a viable online system which improved the efficiency, reporting and analysis of a vast amount of data which has been effective in helping the school maintain academic standards set by the University of Buckingham (the validating body) and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education in the UK (QAA). The intranet became an invaluable online tool for helping the school to streamline academic practices, such as exams, the academic board and the provision and distribution of teaching materials to it's students. An integral part of this major transition for the school, is to also implement an effective learning and development environment for staff, students and lecturers, including the writing of handbooks and training sessions. The development of the portal is a continuous work in progress in which quick and effective problem solving skills have become finely tuned due to the dynamic and international nature of the coordination and management of its data and users.
