I was a member of the Defendant Personal Injury team, working for two major motor insurance clients. The cases are non-delegated and require daily communication with the clients, building strong relationships. The cases are primarily up to a value of £50,000, however I have experience of working on cases up to £100,000 and Partners on catastrophic claims. The cases consist of liability, quantum and indemnity issues. I also mentor some of the junior members of the team. I am a good team member and happy to help whenever required, as well as being a trusted colleague. I moved to Horwich Farrelly, from Parabis via a team move. Show less

I had worked at Greenwoods for over 12 years and during that time worked on as a Defendant Road Traffic Accident Personal Injury Fee Earner in the following matters: 1. Team for Norwich Union delegated cases up to a value of £50,000. 2. Motor Insurer’s Bureau work dealing with cases on a delegated basis up to a value of £50,000. The cases involved the usual liability and quantum disputes but also technical issues, such as dealing with determination of an uninsured and untraced claim and assessing whether correct compliance had been made of the various MIB clauses. 3. Assisting a Partner on MIB matters, dealing with declaration proceedings and cases up to a value of £500,000. 4. Aviva non delegated team, dealing with my own cases up to a value of £100,000 but also assisting with a Partner and Associate Partners on PI Catastrophic claims. During this time I had been trying for a family and upon my return from maternity leave I proposed a business plan to return on a part time basis. This was accepted by the firm. At a later stage, a role dealing with my own cases rather than being an assistant role was better placed for my work / family life balance and so I moved to the team working on Ageas Insurance Limited and Tesco Limited cases. I have been with this team since 2012. The cases are non-delegated and primarily up to a value of £50,000 and can consist of liability, quantum and indemnity issues. Show less

I was employed as a Defendant Small Claims RTA Fee Earner, and after nine months was promoted to the Team Leader of the Small Claims Unit. I ran a team of three fee earners, each dealing with small claims, as well as one fee earner issuing on recovery matters. I developed a full fast track and multi track caseload up to a value of £50,000.
